DasCollectif is a group of highly versatile artists of dancers, musicians, singers and choreographers, living in Vienna, Hanover, Salzburg, Leipzig, Cologne and Linz.
Most significant for their work is the particular relationship of dance and music, as well as the specific biographies of the performers with their different backgrounds in various fields of music and dance.
The group was founded in 2007 by lecturers and students of the Orff-Institute of University Mozarteum Salzburg. The incentive was to explore the process of integrating movement, music, voice, and speaking in their artistic works. In 2009, for the first time DasCollectif collaborated with Irina Pauls. New artistic perspectives have opened up since DasCollectif has dissociated itself from the Mozarteum Salzburg in 2017 and cooperated with partners of the professional dance scene.
