Overall, the focal point of the day was on building connections: how the spine
connects head and tailbone; how to relate and work together while developing a group dynamic; and how to connect different spaces.
Opening the day, the morning movement practice centered on the spine through mobilizing the pelvis,
releasing the head into the floor and finding spirals through the whole spine. Using
everyday movements, we checked how the body organizes itself. Adding creative
input to the movement, participants worked with a head/tail improvisation across
the floor and started to develop awareness of the other through partner
“dialogues” in lines across the space.
